Product description
Load a 914 mm roll, tap HP Click, and before the elevator even arrives, an A0 poster rolls out of the HP DesignJet Studio Wood 36-inch in 45 seconds. This plotter is designed for architects, structural engineers, and GIS specialists who want to print large drawings and precise maps at home without adding an industrial look to the office.
Print quality and speed: The Studio Wood delivers lines with an accuracy of ±0.1 percent and a resolution of up to 2400 × 1200 dpi. An A1 sheet appears in 25 seconds, A0 in 45 seconds, supported by 1 GB of internal memory that effortlessly buffers large PDF files.
- A1 output: 25 s per sheet
- Line accuracy ±0.1%
- Four cartridges, pigment black for sharp text
Ease of use: With HP Click, you can send complete project folders in a single action. The plotter automatically switches between roll and A3 sheets, while the HP Smart app displays status and print queue information on the go. A sealed roll cover keeps media dust-free.
- One-click job submission with HP Click
- Automatic switching between roll and sheet
- Can be used wirelessly, via Gigabit Ethernet and with USB
Ink technology and sustainability: The casing contains recycled plastic, and HP offsets the remaining CO₂ emissions, making this the first net-carbon neutral DesignJet plotter. Packaging and cartridges are designed for return and recycling.
- Standby consumption < 0.2 W
- Carbon-neutral certified according to The CarbonNeutral Protocol
- 10% recycled plastic in the housing
Data security: Encrypted HTTPS connections, a built-in firewall, and role management via the web interface protect your designs from unauthorized access. PIN release prevents prints from being left on the stack.
What makes this printer different from the HP DesignJet T630 36-inch
- A1 prints in 30 s, Studio Wood in 25 s.
- T630 uses an open roller, Studio Wood has a wooden top and closed roller cover
- Studio Wood is net-carbon neutral, T630 is not.
- Both have 1GB of memory, but Studio Wood has a designer finish that fits into a studio environment.
HP DesignJet T650 : same technology, different design
The DesignJet Studio Wood uses technology identical to the HP DesignJet T650 in the same width. The print head, firmware, speed, and color management are identical, so you get the same 2400 × 1200 dpi quality and A1 or A0 cycle times. The difference lies in the casing: the Studio Wood has a wooden top, a lockable roller cover, and is supplied CO₂-offset, while the T650 uses an open roller and plastic cover. So you're choosing primarily for appearance and durability, not for any other printing performance.
