Drag project files of various sizes into the queue, and the HP DesignJet T850 36-inch prints them in order: A0 from the roll, A3 or A4 from the 50-sheet tray. No additional software is needed, although HP Click offers convenient preview and batching.

Key differences from successor HP DesignJet T950 36-inch
- Speed and production – The HP DesignJet T950 prints A1 in 21 s, processes up to 120 A1/h, and has a 100-sheet tray plus a 40-sheet stacker. The T850 prints A1 in 25 s, 90 A1/h, with a 50-sheet tray and no stacker.
- Paper Rolls – T950 accepts longer 91m rolls and 2- or 3-inch cores, T850 rolls up to 50m on 2-inch cores.
- Memory – T950 has 2 GB for very large jobs, T850 1 GB.
- Size and weight – Stacker makes the T950 larger and heavier; the T850 remains more compact for smaller studios.
